 Affiliate marketing is one of the best business models because it cuts out a lot of traditional business cost like office space, furniture, shipping, etc. It is also quite easy to navigate once you learn the ropes, yet a very high number of people still fail at it.

      1)      Unrealistic Expectations

If you Google ‘affiliate marketing’ you are going to be met with masses of programs that promises you a quick buck. The honest truth is; you are not going to become an instant millionaire with an affiliate program. It takes time and to build your pages, get your prospects through your funnels, and actually make a sale. Most people do not expect all this much work, so, after a month of putting some effort and they still haven’t made money, they give up

People also get misled by the tem ‘work from home’ what they expect is not to put in much work and earn big money. The reality is that you have to put in a lot of work, especially at the beginning of your business. Many marketers are always running after the latest thing. They try to sell products today with Facebook ads. When it doesn’t work out, they will try Amazon, then move to selling eBook, etc. Doing this is a waste of time because you never get enough experience to become a successful marketer.

      3)      Not Planning

When you start a business, you come up with a business plan, sales projections, etc. You have a general direction of where you want to take the business. Many affiliate marketers dive in headfirst. The join an affiliate program and their only plan is to promote products and get commissions. That is a terrible plan to say the least. You need to have a clear picture of what you need to do, how you need to do it, and when you need to have it done. That is before you even sign up with an affiliate program. Then you should contact the affiliate program you are interested in, and find out their process on promoting products.
